Counterrevolutionary dance of death by an unknown artist after Alfred Rethel.
Death is heading for Copenhagen. Behind the city wall can be seen the Round Tower and The Church of Our Lady (the square tower without a spire). On his back is the Coat of arms of Schleswig-Holstein, on his scythe he carries "the Holstein Constitution" of 2 October 1855 -- an attempt to make a common constitution for Denmark and the duchies of Schleswig, Holstein and Lauenburg.
