La Grande Danse Macabre: Chambermaid and housekeeper

Spinster and Franciscan nun Hospitable woman and wet nurse

The chambermaid and housekeeper printed by Garnier in Troyes after 1766. The woodcut is a copy produced by the family Oudot around 1649. In these late editions for no apparent reason the chambermaid and housekeeper were moved one step ahead in the dance before the spinster maid and the Franciscan nun. There's a larger version here: Chambermaid and housekeeper.
