La Grande Danse Macabre: Merchant's and Bailiff's Wife

Citizeness and widow Bride and darling wife

The Merchant's and bailiff's wife printed by Garnier of Troyes after 1766. In fact the woodcut is a copy of the copy of the ruler and knight's wife that was produced by the family Oudot around 1649. In the later years these two images were always interchanged. There's a larger version here: Merchant's and bailiff's wife.
