La Grande Danse Macabre: Ruler and Knight's Wife

Queen and duchess Abbess and noblewoman

The ruler and knight's wife printed by Garnier of Troyes after 1766. In fact the woodcut is a copy of the merchant's wife and bailiff's wife that was produced by the family Oudot around 1649. In the later years these two images were always interchanged. There's a larger version here: Ruler and knight's wife.
