Watercolour by Rudolf Feyerabend from 1806 showing Basel's Dance of Death. The young woman. The frame / tombstone with the heraldic symbol shows that Feyerabend has copied Jacques-Antony Chovin rather than Matthew Merian. But then again Death wears a garland (headband) like in Merian's picture.
