The spinster wears a conical "hennin" with a veil. According to Wikipedia
these hats
»appear from about 1430 onwards, especially after the mid-century, initially only among aristocratic women«.
The spinster is the only woman with this pointed hat, which apparently was fashionable in her younger days.
This woodcut was missing in the many publications in Troyes
Therefore, the different publishers used the image of citizen woman and widow twice.
(the same applied to abbess and noblewoman, who were illustrated with prioress and young woman).
