Copenhagen's Dance of Death, Part 25

Du haffuer her til hafft lisene dage,
Nu skalt du strax bort met mig drage.

Death on the lion

Døden taler til Borgerme-
steren.

Her Borgermester, acte nu denne dom,
Saadan Snack aldrig for dig kom.

Det vil icke lenger bliffue saa slæt
du skalt nu for en strængere ræt
Haffuer du skickit huer ræt och skæl
da gaar det dig for dommeren væl
Men haffuer du sagt wretuisdom

The Mayor

You have so far had easy days
Now you must immediately march away with me.

Death speaks to the Mayor.

Mr Mayor, now pay attention to this verdict;
such talk never came before you.

It will no longer be so easy,
you shall now before a harsher court.
Have you settled everyone right and duly
then you will do fine before the judge;
but have you spoken an unfair verdict …

The Mayor One leaf is missing in Copenhagen's Dance of Death, so the red text has been taken from Dødedantz. The text leaves room for another picture, so I've added a picture of Death on the lion.

Clik the little picture to the right to see the original page with the mayor.
