The huntsman is Grev von Gottern in Molsdorf. The count was an art collector and many of the portraits in this series are copied from his collection.
The happy hunter walks carefree in his own forest with the hunting dog by his side, as his helper is about to blow the last "hallali" on the bugle horn.
