The Priest

Götz: Priest
Götz, Priest
Kruspe: Priest
Kruspe, Priest

Death is dressed as a candidate and points to the golden crown that is waiting for the priest in Heaven.

In Kruspe's drawing (right) the priest reaches out to shake hands with Death.

    Death to The Priest:
Don't bother going to church today.
The soul must now stand before its judge;
the body must dance and instantly grow cold.
You can think what you like of such pleasures!

    The Priest:
In life I was pious, in teaching I was pure;
and so I could rightly be a shepherd of souls.
Now I find a pasture there in the beautiful blessing of Heaven.
God will place the shepherd's staff into other hands.
